This presentation will include a high-level review of diagnostic criteria in addition to clinical implications for personality disorders and psychosis with a focus on Borderline Personality and Psychosis. Engagement and therapeutic interventions will be explored and discussed through real-time clinical case examples with audience participation.

Faculty:
- Kathryn Hanley, LPA, PMHNP, is an advanced practice psychiatric nurse with over 22 years of experience in mental health care, specializing in underserved populations with severe mental illness. She earned a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Maryland and later completed her Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Texas at Austin where she stayed on as faculty for 3 years. Kathryn is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Yale University and works as an APRN II at Austin State Hospital, focusing on forensic psychiatry, intellectual disability, and psychosis. She is licensed as a Psychological Associate, volunteers with the University of Texas Medical Reserve Corps, and was nominated for MRC Responder of the Year. Kathryn was also recognized by the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response for her role in launching Central Texas’ first COVID-19 vaccination center and developed a Psychological First Aid training program for mass casualty events.
